Title: Crostini (Garlic Flavored Toast)

Yield: 6 Servings

6 White bread slices; day-old
4 Olive oil; or butter
2 Cl Garlic; split lenghtwise

Cut each slice of bread in 4 squares or triangles. It is not necessary to remove the crusts. Heat the oil in a small skillet or saucepan and saute the garlic over medium-low heat. When the garlic is deep gold in color but not browned, discard it. Brush the flavored oil on both sides of the bread and set the slices on a baking sheet. Toast lightly on both sides in a 375 F oven. Serve hot.

Serves 6.
